The Designer Basswood wood blinds are made of 100% real basswood and feature stains and white colors. Cordless products come standard with a cord tilt wand for added safety.

    Multiple Blinds on a Shared Headrail
    Because large blinds and shades can be heavier and more difficult to raise and lower, the 2-on-1 or 3-on-1 headrail option allows two or three smaller shades to share one common headrail and valance. This creates a cleaner, more streamlined look across wider windows.

    A small 1/4" to 1/2" gap between adjacent shades is normal and required for proper operation.

    What material are the Designer 2" Cordless Basswood Blinds made from?





    These blinds are made from natural basswood, a lightweight hardwood commonly used for premium wood blinds. Basswood provides a smooth finish, consistent grain, and durable slats that help create a classic real wood appearance in window treatments.







    What size slats are used on these basswood blinds?





    Designer Basswood Blinds feature 2-inch horizontal slats. This slat size offers a balanced look that works well with most window sizes while providing effective light control and improved outside visibility when the slats are tilted open.







    How does the cordless lift system work?





    These blinds use a Cordless Lift & Lock system. To adjust the blind, simply press the button on the handle and guide the bottom rail to the desired height. Releasing the button locks the blind securely in place at that position.







    How are the slats tilted to control light?





    The slats are adjusted using a wand tilt control located on the left side of the blind. Rotating the wand allows you to open or close the slats to control natural light and privacy throughout the day.







    Is a valance included with the Designer Basswood Blinds?





    Yes. These blinds include a 3-inch decorative valance that covers the headrail and provides a finished appearance across the top of the window.

    Designer Basswood Blinds are custom made to fit a wide range of window sizes. They are available in widths from approximately 12 inches up to 102 inches and heights from about 13 inches up to 84 inches.







    What mounting depth is required for inside mount installation?





    For inside mount installation, the minimum mounting depth is approximately 1 1/8 inches. A flush mount installation requires about 3½ inches of window frame depth so the blind and valance sit fully inside the opening.

    The headrail for these blinds measures approximately 2 inches by 2.25 inches and houses the cordless lift mechanism and tilt components.

    What Is Covered

    Our window coverings are covered against manufacturing defects in materials or craftsmanship when used as intended, provided that:

    • The product has been correctly measured, installed, and operated.
    • All Blinds Chalet guidelines regarding product limitations, maintenance, and care have been followed.

    Who Is Eligible

    This warranty applies solely to the original purchaser of the product and is non-transferable.


    Blinds Chalet’s Responsibility

    If a covered defect is confirmed, Blinds Chalet will, at its discretion, repair the product, replace affected parts, or provide a comparable replacement.


    Costs not included: The customer is responsible for expenses related to shipping as well as any measuring, installation, removal, or reinstallation services. Labor charges, service visits, and similar costs are not covered by this warranty.

    What Is Not Covered

    • Damage resulting from accidents, alterations, misuse, abuse, or neglect.
    • Improper measurement, installation, cleaning, or maintenance.
    • Normal wear and tear, including fading, discoloration, or deterioration from sunlight or moisture.
    • Frayed cords, cord breakage, or reduced cord performance due to age or heavy use.

    Fading and normal aging of materials are expected characteristics and are not considered defects.


    Warranty Limitations

    This warranty is exclusive and replaces any other expressed or implied warranties. No Blinds Chalet employee or representative is authorized to modify or extend these terms.


    Blinds Chalet will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from product use or failure.

    Resolution on Warranties and Guarantees
    • BlindsChalet.com reserves, at its discretion, the right to repair, replace or refund any blinds found defective. Limit 1 remake per covered product.
    • If there are multiple blinds/shades in the same room, only the defective product will be replaced/repaired.
    • In the event that a product, color or product feature has been discontinued and it is no longer available we will provide a substitute product as similar as possible to the original blind or shade.
    • Shipping for warranty issues is the responsibility of the customer to and from the repair facility. Packaging on return shipments is the responsibility of the customer.
    • If a product or component has been discontinued, Blinds Chalet will repair or replace the affected part with the closest available match in design and color.
