During the beautiful weather that we get in the summertime, have you ever noticed that you are in a better mood? You wear lighter clothes, there is more hours of sunlight, and you generally feel better. Conversely, during the winter month have you ever noticed that your mood changes? The daylight is shorter, the weather is colder and you need to wear heavier clothes. This is the result of Seasonal Affective Disorder.

Seasonal Affective Disorder is a form of depression that affects people during the change of seasons. While is it not a serious affliction, it is a disorder that can affect the psyche of people and could potentially lead to greater problems. However, Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is generally a temporary problem which will go away when the weather changes. But it could also be treated with Light Therapy where people are exposed to light, which can improve this disorder.
