It is everyone's responsibility to be alert to the the environment and what we can do to help ensure that we have all of the resources we need and still protect the beauty of everything around us. One of the ways to take care of the environment is to learn alternatives to using natural resources. For example, instead of being totally dependent on oil for fuel, we should look for ways to use other resources, such as the sun, wind and water.

The energy from the Sun is one of the most powerful sources that we can use for our everyday needs. It is not only very powerful, but also has a nearly untapped potential to fulfill our needs. But, in order to properly use this energy source, we need to educate people about the opportunities. And, the best people to begin this education are young people.

By learning about the potential of solar power as a source of energy, young people can get comfortable understanding this power and how it can be utilized. Children are the future users of all resources on the Earth, and the earlier they can understand the importance, the earlier they can begin using natural resources. Educating children about this power source can be done in school and also in the home.

The following information and resources can be helpful in helping children understand solar power and how it can be used as a source of natural energy. We hope that this information is valuable to help children learn about energy and the environment today, as well as in the future.
