Video Description

Bali Roller Shades deliver a clean, modern profile with smooth operation, designer fabrics, and light control for any room. In this short intro, we’ll cover fabric choices and simple tips so you can order with confidence.

What to Consider when Ordering with Roller Shades

  • Roller vs. solar fabrics and how they handle glare, view, and privacy

  • Lift options: cordless, continuous cord loop (with safety tensioner), and motorized

  • Inside vs. outside mount, plus standard vs. reverse roll directions

  • Valance/cassette styles for a finished look

Why Choose Bali Roller Shades

  • Sleek, Low-Profile Look: Minimal hardware and a crisp silhouette suit modern and transitional spaces.

  • Custom Light Control: From glare-cutting solar weaves to true blackout for bedrooms and media rooms.

  • Easy Operation: Cordless for a clean face, continuous loop for precise placement, or motorization for one-touch control.

  • Made to Measure: Custom widths and drops for a perfect fit.

Fabric Options at a Glance

  • Solar (1–14% openness): Preserves views and reduces glare/UV. Lower % = tighter weave & less light.

  • Light-Filtering: Soft daylight glow with daytime privacy.

  • Room-Darkening / Blackout: Minimizes light for sleep and screen time. For best results, consider an outside mount to add overlap.

Lift Systems

  • Cordless (e.g., EasyTouch): Clutter-free and kid-friendly. Lift/lower from the center of the hem bar for level travel.

  • Continuous Cord Loop (Clutch): Smooth, precise control on larger or heavier shades. Always install the safety tensioner so the loop stays taut.

  • Motorized: Remote/app control and scene presets; ideal for tall or hard-to-reach windows.

Mounting & Roll Direction

  • Inside Mount: Built-in look; confirm minimum recess depth; expect small side gaps (normal).

  • Outside Mount: Adds overlap to reduce edge light and cover out-of-square frames.

  • Standard Roll: Fabric drops behind the tube for tightest clearance.

  • Reverse Roll: Fabric falls in front to clear handles/trim and conceal the tube.

Valance & Cassette Options

  • Flat/Fascia: Clean, architectural cap over the tube.

  • Fabric-Wrapped Cassette: Softer, integrated top treatment.

  • Side Returns: Recommended on outside mounts to cover the ends.

Measure in Minutes

  • Inside mount: Measure width in three places (top/middle/bottom); order the narrowest. Height: left/center/right; order the longest.

  • Outside mount: Add 1–2" per side (more for blackout) and extra top overlap to clear trim/locks.

Care & Cleaning

  • Dust with a microfiber duster or vacuum with a brush attachment.

  • Spot-clean gently with mild soap and water; avoid harsh chemicals.

Bali Roller Shades - FAQs

What’s the difference between solar and regular roller fabrics?

Solar fabrics use an openness factor to cut glare/UV while preserving views; lower openness lets in less light. Regular roller fabrics range from light-filtering to blackout for greater privacy and darkness.

Which lift should I choose—cordless, loop, or motorized?

Cordless is clean and kid-friendly for everyday sizes. Continuous cord loop offers precise control on larger/heavier shades—install the safety tensioner. Motorized adds remote/app control and presets, perfect for tall windows.

Standard roll vs. reverse roll—how do I decide?

Standard roll drops behind the tube for tighter clearance. Reverse roll drops in front to hide the tube and clear handles/trim. Both perform the same—choose based on aesthetics/clearance.

Will blackout rollers make my room completely dark?

Blackout fabric stops light through the shade, but small side/top gaps remain—especially on inside mounts. For darker results, use an outside mount with extra overlap and/or layer drapery side panels.

How do I clean Bali roller shades?

Dust regularly with a microfiber duster or vacuum using a soft brush. Spot-clean with mild soap and water and blot dry. Avoid abrasives or strong solvents.
