Two shades in one! Our Premier Day & Night Light Filtering Shades offer both blackout shades and light filtering or sheer translucent shades in the same window blind. Both window shades are mounted with the same headrail with a color coordinated rail between the two fabrics.

Made with honeycomb cell shade fabrics for added insulation and energy savings. Let the light filter into the room or lower the blackout shades for additional light control. Each fabric has it's own lift cord. One for the sheer and one for the blackout. Color between the translucent and the blackout fabrics may vary slightly due to the blackout liner inside the honeycomb cell shades.

Decorative Tapes provide additional light control with a touch of class. Instead of the standard rope lift cords, decorative tapes are fabric lift cords that come in various colors.

What are the minimum depth requirements for inside mount?

Minimum mounting depth and flush mounting depth may vary by the lift control and other options. Please check our specifications based on your configuration.

What are Premier 9/16" Day/Night Cell Shades?




Premier 9/16" Day/Night Cell Shades are dual-function cellular shades that combine two fabrics in one shade. The upper portion features a translucent light filtering fabric for daytime use, while the lower portion includes a blackout fabric that helps darken the room when privacy and light control are needed.





How does the day/night feature work?




The shade includes two separate fabric sections connected by a middle rail. The translucent section allows soft natural light into the room during the day, while the blackout section can be positioned to reduce incoming light and increase privacy when desired.





What size are the honeycomb cells?




These shades feature 9/16-inch honeycomb cells. This mid-sized cell structure provides a balance of insulation, clean appearance, and smooth operation on most window sizes.





Do cellular shades help with insulation?

There is no view with the day shade. It is a privacy shade. The Premier Day & Night Shades - Sheer/Blackout offers a sheer shade and a blackout shade that allows them to be viewed through.

The shades can be lifted up completely so there is not shade blocking the view. They can also be lowered with either light filtering fabric or blackout fabric covering the window.

These shades are awesome!! I love being able to let filtered light in during the day, and then having the room blacked out at night (we live in an area with a LOT of light pollution). It's a shame the manufacturer doesn't offer these in more colors, but the colors they do offer are very neutral, and coordinate well with just about any decor.

These shades are awesome! We have a huge window in our master bedroom (nearly 70" by 58") that faces west, so it gets the hot sun all afternoon, and at night, there is a (very annoying) street lamp right outside that disturbs our sleep. So we have the light filter portion open during the day, and at night, we switch to the blackout. The ONLY problem is at this width (nearly 6 ft!), the blind/intermediate rail is SO heavy that after five years of nearly daily use, one of the lift cords has bit the dust. The shade is still useable; I was able to tie a knot in it and save it, but it doesn't extend all the way to the bottom of the window--about 3" is exposed. So I am going to order a replacement.

What Is Covered

Our window coverings are covered against manufacturing defects in materials or craftsmanship when used as intended, provided that:

  • The product has been correctly measured, installed, and operated.
  • All Blinds Chalet guidelines regarding product limitations, maintenance, and care have been followed.

Who Is Eligible

This warranty applies solely to the original purchaser of the product and is non-transferable.


Blinds Chalet’s Responsibility

If a covered defect is confirmed, Blinds Chalet will, at its discretion, repair the product, replace affected parts, or provide a comparable replacement.


Costs not included: The customer is responsible for expenses related to shipping as well as any measuring, installation, removal, or reinstallation services. Labor charges, service visits, and similar costs are not covered by this warranty.

What Is Not Covered

  • Damage resulting from accidents, alterations, misuse, abuse, or neglect.
  • Improper measurement, installation, cleaning, or maintenance.
  • Normal wear and tear, including fading, discoloration, or deterioration from sunlight or moisture.
  • Frayed cords, cord breakage, or reduced cord performance due to age or heavy use.

Fading and normal aging of materials are expected characteristics and are not considered defects.


Warranty Limitations

This warranty is exclusive and replaces any other expressed or implied warranties. No Blinds Chalet employee or representative is authorized to modify or extend these terms.


Blinds Chalet will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from product use or failure.

Resolution on Warranties and Guarantees
  • BlindsChalet.com reserves, at its discretion, the right to repair, replace or refund any blinds found defective. Limit 1 remake per covered product.
  • If there are multiple blinds/shades in the same room, only the defective product will be replaced/repaired.
  • In the event that a product, color or product feature has been discontinued and it is no longer available we will provide a substitute product as similar as possible to the original blind or shade.
  • Shipping for warranty issues is the responsibility of the customer to and from the repair facility. Packaging on return shipments is the responsibility of the customer.
  • If a product or component has been discontinued, Blinds Chalet will repair or replace the affected part with the closest available match in design and color.
